A Country Dining Pub Near Cullompton, Devon
A warm fire, honest Devon cooking, and a garden gate that's always open.
Just outside Cullompton, we've been pulling pints and plating up proper West Country food since 2009. Come as you are: muddy boots, dogs and Sunday best are all welcome at our tables.
Dining
Our kitchen does not chase trends. It follows the seasons, the coast and the farms just down the road, turning out plates built for hungry walkers and long, lazy lunches alike.
Dishes change with the fields: hearty in the colder months, lighter once the garden fills up in summer. Always cooked properly, never rushed.
Thick cut meat, crisp potatoes and a jug of gravy that keeps coming. Our Sunday tables are the first to fill, so booking ahead is a good idea.
Meat and vegetables from Devon farms, cheeses from across the West Country. We know where our ingredients come from, and we're glad to tell you.
The Setting
However you arrive, on foot from the Blackdown Hills, along the Grand Western Canal, or straight from the car park, there's a spot waiting for you.
