For more than a century this town has talked about having a pool of its own. Now a growing community of volunteers, swimmers, parents and supporters is turning that long held hope into lane lines, warm water and wide open doors. This is where you come in.

The Vision
A pool built around this community, not just for it.
Cullompton has been without a swimming pool for a generation. We're changing that, with plans for a warm, welcoming pool at the heart of town, designed for every age, every ability and every budget.
From splash happy toddlers to competitive swimmers, from school lessons to gentle rehabilitation, this is a building with room for everyone Cullompton has to offer.
A proper 25 metre pool
Six lanes for lessons, clubs, fitness and fun, open to swimmers across Cullompton and the wider Mid Devon area.
A dedicated learner pool
A shallower, warmer space where the town's youngest swimmers, and the most nervous beginners, can learn safely and with confidence.
Mid Devon's first hydrotherapy pool
Warm water therapy for older residents, people recovering from injury, and anyone living with a long term health condition.
A genuine community hub
Changing rooms, a welcoming cafe and flexible space for clubs, schools and local groups to make their own.
Cullompton is a growing town that still doesn't have a pool of its own. We think that's worth fixing.

The campaign is relaunched
A small group of determined local volunteers forms the Cullompton Swimming Pool Campaign, ready to finally make it happen.
Charity status secured
The campaign becomes a registered charity, opening the door to grants, gift aid and more ambitious fundraising.
The campaign shop opens
A charity shop in town starts trading, turning everyday donations and bargain finds into pool funds, pound by pound.
£150,000 raised
An initial development target is reached, funding early design work and feasibility studies for the site.
